Helen Cruce, age 90 of Effingham, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on December 22, 2024, at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.  Private family graveside service will be held in Crayne, Kentucky at a later date. Helen was born on July 31, 1934, in Crayne, Kentucky, the daughter of George Wahington and Christine (McCaslin) Cruce. She was a Registered Nurse and spent her career caring for our veterans working for the Veterans Administration.  She worked in many towns and states. She loved to travel.
Helen is survived by her nephews; Stephen F. Fear of Charleston, Illinois
Gregory S. Fear of Altamont, Illinois and Robert B. Fear of Charleston, Illinois

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Mary Jean and Robert Franklin Fear.
