Helen P. (Grove) Paddick, age 88, of Olney, passed away at 9:59 AM on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 10-11 AM in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 11 AM in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Pastor Julia Thrasher will be officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Park.

Helen was born on May 15, 1927 in Newton the daughter of Ervin and Eva (Musgrove) Grove. She later married Ivan P. "Bill" Paddick on December 26, 1952 in Marion County, Illinois. He preceded her in death.

She worked as a line worker at the International Shoe Factory and in the shipping department at KHS Bicycle Parts in Olney. She enjoyed reading books and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Helen is survived by her 2 brothers, Jerry Grove and wife Pat of Olney and Kenny Grove and wife Sue of Claremont; special niece and caregiver Bev Hamilton and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Paddick, parents Ervin and Eva Grove, brother Wilby Grove, 3 sisters, Thelma Hubble, Dorothy Brissenden and Verna M. Schwartz.
