Herman Wayne Burgener, age 85 of Olney, passed away at 5:00 PM, on Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 at Richland Care and Rehab in Olney

Visitation and Funeral services will be on Monday, March 11th, 2013 with the visitation commencing at 10:30 AM, and the funeral service following immediately at 11:30 in the Chapel of Stasi-Grove Funeral Home with the Reverend Kevin Pitman officiating and the Richland County Veteran Organization conducting military rites at the graveside.

Wayne was born on April 7th, 1927 in West Liberty, the son of Herman Peter Burgener and Stella Edith (Sprague) Burgener. He later married Dorothy L. Hunley on July 11th, 1948 in West Liberty, IL. She preceded him in death in 2011.

Wayne worked at Marathon Oil as an agent for truck drivers until his retirement. Wayne loved to hunt and fish. He was a loving parent, and will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

He is survived by 1 son, Donald Wayne Burgener of Olney, brother Dwight Burgener of Noble, nad sister Juanita Bunting of Desoto, IL. 3 grandchildren, Sherrie Seals, and her husband Dave of Glendale, TX., Ed Burgener of Olney, Jason Burgener, and his wife Katie of Brimfield, MA., 1 step-grandson Jason Mink of Cape Girardeau, MO., 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, his parents Peter and Stella Burgener, son Larry Duane Burgener, brother Harold Milo Burgener, and 1 infant brother.
