Obituary
Mr. Herman Bradley Watkins, age 58
of West Liberty, IL and formerly of Yuma, AZ passed away at 9:25 PM – Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Private family services will be held. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL.
Herman was born on January 27, 1953 in Havre de Grace, MD the son of Jessie James and Josephine (Hall) Watkins.
Herman worked in construction and had worked at the Jesse B. Holt Truss Factory in Newton.
Herman was avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed shooting black powder rifles and going frontiersman re-enactments. He enjoyed telling stories at schools about life as a frontiersman.
Herman was a member of the Sons of the American Legion with the Ste. Marie American Legion Post #932.
Herman is survived by:
Mother – Josephine Watkins of Willow Hill, IL
Sister – Deborah (Dale) Ferguson of Carbondale, IL
Brother - David (Tammie) Watkins of Fallon, NV
Sister- Margaret (Craig) Pritchard of Newton, IL
Brother - Daniel (Connie) Watkins of Willow Hill, IL
Sister-in-Law – Judy Watkins of Yuma, AZ
Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
