Hermina Henrietta Buerster, age 95, of Noble, Illinois, passed away at 11:00 AM – Friday, January 5, 2024, at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM – Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Holy Cross Catholic Church Parish Center in Wendelin, Illinois, with Fr. Steven Beatty celebrating mass. The burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Wendelin, Illinois. Visitation will be held 4:00 to 7:00 PM – Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the parish center and 1 hour before the mass. In memory of Hermina, memorials may be made to the Holy Cross Catholic Church renovation. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Hermina was born on November 5, 1928, in Wendelin, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Reginia (Hinterscher) Seckinger. She married Lowell A. Buerster on April 16, 1947, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Wendelin, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2011.
Hermina was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Lowell farmed and raised their family on the family farm. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin and enjoyed gardening, flowers, and dancing.
Hermina is survived by: Children - Elaine (Jr.) Slunaker of Berryville, Illinois; Mark (Rita) Buerster of Noble, Illinois; Patricia Boswell of Texas; Peggy (Gerald) Klingler of Watson, Illinois; Tony (Missy) Buerster of Noble, Illinois; Greg (Cheryl) Buerster of Noble, Illinois; and Scott (Sandy) Buerster of Ingraham, Illinois
Son-in-law – Pat Correll of Noble, Illinois
Sister-in-law – Verneatha Kessler of Olney, Illinois
29 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.
Hermina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, children, Carol Ochs, Sandra Buerster, Gary Buerster and Sharon Correll; sister Lorene Kuhl and brother Raymond Seckinger.
