Hilda Marie Dallmier, age 82

Of Newton, Illinois passed away at 5:10 AM - Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the

Willowbrook in Effingham, Illinois.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM - Monday, October 20, 2014 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois with Fr. Al Kemme celebrating mass. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Ste. Marie, Illinois. Visitation will be held 3:00-7:00 PM - Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the church and 1 hour prior to the mass. In loving memory of Hilda, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church for Masses or to the Family's wishes for Parkinson's disease research.

Hilda was born on December 30, 1931 in Richland County, Illinois one of eleven children born to Peter and Louvina (Hahn) Rennier. She married George Dallmier on November 27, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stringtown, Illinois. She embraced being a farmer's wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting, sewing and cross-stitch.

Hilda was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois where she was an active volunteer helping in many activites of the church. She was also a member of the St. Mary's Altar Society; Vanderhoof Home Extension group and a past member of the Ste. Marie American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Always giving of her time she volunteered at the Jasper County Senior Citizen Center for several years.

Her greatest joy was spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

5 Children- Carolyn (Robert) Barthelme of West Liberty, Illinois

George (Michele) Dallmier, Jr. of Effingham, Illinois

Margaret (Andrew) Townsend of New Bern, North Carolina

Judith (Paul) Goebel of Montrose, Illinois and

Sylvan (Kimberly) Dallmier of Fort Branch, Indiana

1 Sister- Cleora Miller of Indianapolis, Indiana

Hilda was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers Herbert Rennier, Conrad Rennier, Ralph Rennier, Gerald Rennier and Julius Rennier; 3 sisters Erma Runyon, Chlorine Lathrop and Jeanine Copper.
