Ivan Dean Weber, age 82
Of rural Dundas, IL passed away at 6:24 AM – Thursday, May 30, 2013 at St Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM – Monday, June 3, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, IL with Fr. Mark Stec celebrating mass. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Wendelin, IL with a flag presentation. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM – Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the church and ½ hour before the mass in church. In loving memory of Ivan, memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital. Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL. Ivan was born June 6, 1930 near Wendelin, IL the son of Albert and Irene (Stark) Weber. He married Mary Maginn on July 16, 1955 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, IL.
Ivan served his county in the United States Army from 1954 through 1956.
Ivan was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer. He loved doing woodworking in his shop. He was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, IL.
Ivan is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary Weber of Dundas, IL; four children Gary (Jamie) Weber of Marion, IL; Kathy (John) Hayes of Newton, IL; Cheryl (Harold) Gambill of Mattoon, IL; and Gail (Ben) Niebrugge of Newton, IL. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren Michael Weber, Olivia Weber, Brandon McKinney, Amanda Lessley, Courtney Page, Ross Hayes, Amanda Emmerich, Allen Emmerich, Jill Emmerich-Ginder, Lynn Bierman, Megan Henkel, Katie Deisher and Eric Niebrugge. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and one on the way. Also surviving are his brothers Floyd (Ruth) Weber of Louisville, IL and Ralph (Georgianna ) Weber of Newton, IL.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents.
