Jacob Lancaster, 83, of Olney, passed away at 9:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

Celebration of Life service will be at 2 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church in Olney. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Branch President James Brown will be officiating.

Jacob was born on October 27, 1935 in Olney, the son of Ray and Mildred (Gruniesen) Lancaster. He later married Virginia Williams on March 8, 1958 in Bisbee, Arizona. She preceded him in death.

Jacob served in the US Army during the Korean War Conflict. He worked as a maintenance man for many years. He was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Olney. He was also a member of American Legion in Olney. He enjoyed fishing, putting together model airplanes, and studying history. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

He is survived by his son Faron Lancaster (Sarah) of Olney; 2 daughters Constance Smith (Michael) of Flora and Jeanette Maze (Keith) of Olney; brother Glenn Lancaster (Janice) of Olney; sister Sharon Daniels of Lane, IL; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Lancaster, parents Ray and Mildred Lancaster and sister Marilola Lancaster.
