Mr. James Donald "Jim" Worcester, age 61 of Lake Havasu City, AZ and formerly Newton, IL passed away at 5:15 PM – Monday, October 31, 2011 at Havasu Regional Medical Center Lake Havasu City, AZ with his loving wife by his side.
Jim was born January 25, 1950 in Effingham, IL to Robert and Coletta (Emmerich) Worcester.
After graduating from Newton Community High School in 1968, Jim served with the United States Army, being honorably discharged in 1970. Jim married Gail Ann Phillips on June 20th, 1971 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Newton, IL. Jim worked in the Hardware Retail business with his parents, and was sole owner of Worcester True-Value Hardware from 1988-1996. Jim and Gail moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ in October 1997. Jim was employed by Bluewater Resort and Casino in Parker, AZ from December 1997, until he retired in July 2010.
Jim was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, and was a volunteer firefighter for Wade Community Fire Protection District from 1970-1997. Jim loved to golf and play poker. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs and also loved watching Nascar.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife, Gail (Phillips) Worcester of Lake Havasu City, AZ; son Tracy Worcester of Las Vegas, NV; sister Gail (Gary) Finn of Newton, IL; grandson Devin Worcester of Oblong, IL; granddaughter Carman Worcester of Newton, IL; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Collie Worcester; and his son Phillip Worcester.

Committal services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Al Kemme officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Blake Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton with services at 7:00 p.m. Thursday after the visitation
