Mr. James Joseph "Joe" Purcell, Jr. Age 57
Of Dieterich, IL passed away at 9:10 PM – Sunday, June 24, 2012 at his home.

James Joseph was born on July 13, 1954 in East St. Louis, IL the son of James Joseph and Hazel Joann (Brummett) Purcell. He married Rita Whitford on February 18, 1973 and she survives.
Joe had been a contractor doing home construction.
Joe enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting and spending time with his family.

Wife Rita Purcell of Dieterich, IL
Mother – Hazel Joann Purcell of Swansea, IL
3 Children – James Joseph (Kelly Eckel) Purcell, III of Dieterich, IL
Andrew Michael Purcell of Dieterich, IL
JoAnn Francis (Jeffrey Samuel Larson) Purcell of Dieterich, IL
Brother – Tim Purcell of Highland, IL
4 Sisters – Lee Schaefer of Waterloo, IL
Lynn Bigham of Waterloo, IL
Lisa Kimbrell of Lynnsburg, IL
Joey Freeman of O'Fallon, IL

Joe was preceded in death by his father and granddaughter Samantha Nicole Purcell.
