Jane Ann Hannaman, age 72
Of Newton, IL passed away at 10:30 AM –Monday, March 11, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services celebrating Jane Ann's life will be held at 10:00 AM – Friday, March 15, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Newton, IL with Rev. Stephen Willis officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, IL. Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 PM – Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL. Jane Ann was born on September 23, 1940 in Olney, IL the daughter of Stormy and Fern (Woods) Parr. She married Tom Ackerman in 1959 and they had three children. They later divorced and she married her high school classmate, Tom Hannaman in April 1973.
Jane worked in the insurance industry for 30 years both as a secretary and as an agent. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newton, IL. Jane loved keeping her house tidy and working in her flower beds.
Most of all she loved spending time with her family where ever they were.
Jane was also an avid Newton Eagles fan and attended as many events as she was able. Her battle with cancer was long and she wanted desperately to get better. Jane greatly appreciated all of those who took care of her and tried to make her last days more comfortable and more pleasant. If you knew her you probably remember her beautiful white hair, her great smile and her quick-witted personality.

and Lucy Chapman of Newton, IL.
2 Step Grandchildren - Kristin (Kevin) Radke of Newton, IL and Mitch (Lindsey) Chapman of Davenport, IA.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents.
