Jennifer Kay Lynn Oakley, age 40, of Greenup, Illinois, passed away at 11:55 AM on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 to 9:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Toledo Christian Church in Toledo, Illinois. In loving memory of Jennifer, memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home – Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois. Jennifer was born on December 12, 1985, in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Tammy (Nippe) Mette. She graduated from Effingham High School with the Class of 2004. On June 22, 2013, she married Marvin Lee Oakley, Jr in Greenup, Illinois.
Jennifer was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed crafting, cooking and baking. She was a patient, kind and caring woman who was always looking out for other, especially her family.
Jennifer loved adventures and had many hobbies.

Husband – Marvin Lee Oakley, Jr of Greenup, Illinois
Children – TaLee Oakley of Jefferson City, Missouri; Kaden Oakley of Junction City, Illinois; Skiler Oakley of Greenup, Illinois and Gage Oakley of Greenup, Illinois
Grandchildren – Jocelyn Wolfe, Ashton Wolfe and Raven Wolfe
Brothers – Derrick (Sara) Mette of Effingham, Illinois; Jordan (Cortney) Mette of Effingham, Illinois and Blake (Heather) Mette of Teutopolis, Illinois
Jennifer was preceded in death by her brother Steven Nippe and grandparents.
