Jeremy Alan Vahling, age 33
Of Bone Gap, IL passed away at 10:55 AM – Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at his home.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM - Thursday, July 24, 2014
at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, IL. Graveside services will held at 11:00 AM –
Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Bone Gap Cemetery in Bone Gap, IL with Kirk Rowe officiating.
In loving memory of Jeremy, memorials may be made to the family and can be left at the funeral home or mailed to 307 West Jourdan Street Newton, IL 62448.

Jeremy Alan Vahling was born on July 29, 1980 in Effingham, IL the son of David and Janet (Hargis) Vahling. He was a 1998 graduate of Newton Community High School.
Jeremy married Jamie Lee on May 12, 2001 in Bone Gap, IL.
Jeremy was a valued employee of Wal-Mart with over 12 years of service. He currently held the position as Support Manager at the Flora, Illinois Wal-Mart. Jeremy had worked his way into management starting in Vincennes, Indiana then working in Lawrenceville, Olney and Fairfield.
Through Wal-Mart Jeremy and Jamie proudly volunteered and supported fundraisers for Riley Children's Hospital.
Jeremy was an avid Cardinals Fan and loved watching NASCAR and Football with his sons.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and sharing the outdoors with his family. He had a passion to help others and had worked as an EMT. He proudly supported the National Guard of which his brother is a member.

Parents- David and Janet Vahling of Newton, IL
2 Brothers- Chris (Kristen) Vahling of Newton, IL
Jeff (Diana) Vahling of Newton, IL
Grandparents- Jerry & Yvonne Hargis of Newton, IL and
Clarence & Marilyn Vahling of Gila, IL
Father and Mother-in-law- James and Belinda Lee of Bone Gap, IL
2 Brother-in-laws- Travis (Kimberly) Lee of Bone Gap, IL and
Brad (Melissa) Lee of Bone Gap, IL
3 Nieces Darien, Nora and Olivia
4 Nephews Tristan, Wyatt, Mitchell and Ryan
Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins also survive
Jeremy was preceded in death by his great grandparents Elmer & Florence Schafer, Rexil & Zola Hargis, Ray & Mildred Burnell and Ralph & Eleanor Vahling.
