Joan Virginia (Wondolowski) Cox, 78 of Olney, passed away at 6:40 AM on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
Celebration of Life service will be at 11 AM on Monday, March 14, 2022 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at North Freedom Cemetery at a later date.
Joan was born on September 25, 1943, in Springfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of Zigman and Martha (Ci borowski ) Wondolowski. She later married Roy Cox on July 25, 1965 in Noble. He survives.
She worked as a Respiratory Therapist for 45 years at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. She loved working and the people that she worked with. She was Catholic by faith. She loved her family and enjoyed shopping and buying new clothes.
Joan is survived by her husband Roy Cox of Olney; daughter Dannette Craig and husband Brian of Olney; 3 grandchildren Kearsten Givens and husband Jason, Klayton Craig and Kylar Craig; 2 great-grandchildren Landon and Crew Givens.
She is preceded in death by her parents Zigman and Martha Wondolowski.
