John F. McPherson, age 68 of Olney, IL., passed away at 12:42 P.M., on Sunday, January 27th, 2013 at his residence in Olney.

Visitation service will be held on Wednesday, January 30th, 2013 from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will follow immediately at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Bob Totten officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded.

John was born on November 8th, 1944 in Bradshaw, West Virginia, son of Charles and Virginia (Kennedy) McPherson. He later married Sandra Ortlepp in Missouri on July 8th, 1963. She survives.

John was a car salesman for Ford Motor Company in Tennessee. He enjoyed playing golf and going fishing. He was of protestant faith. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra McPherson, of Olney; son Marty McPherson, and his wife Carla of Carthage, Tennessee; daughter Rhonda McKinney, of Carthage, Tennessee; brothers Richard McPherson, and his wife Lisa of West Frankfort, and James McPherson, of Pennsylvania; sister Lily Giroux, of West Frankfort, Judy Moss, and husband Joe of Carlyle, Chalotta McPherson of Hoopeston, Eve McPherson, of Benton, Erlene McPherson, of Carmi, Violet McPherson, of West Frankfort; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents Charles and Virginia McPherson, son Michael McPherson and brothers Luther, Wayne, and Junior McPherson.
