Obituary
John Howard Ward, age 61
Of Toledo, IL and formerly of Yale, IL passed away at 9:35 AM – Friday, June 7, 2013 in rural Effingham County, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM – Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup, IL with Chris Parr officiating. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery in Greenup, IL with full military rites by the Cumberland County Veterans Association. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses. The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.blakefh.com.
John was born on October 21, 1951 in Clinton, IL the son of Kenneth Wayne and Minnie May (Cisney) Ward.
John served his country in the Army National Guard from 1973 until 1978.
John was a part time Janitor at Cumberland Grade School. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, recording music, going to garage sales and making fudge.
John is survived by:
Daughter – Betty Nidey of Casey, IL
Grandchildren – Bryan Nidey, Jordan Nidey and Leanne Nidey
Sister – Kathy Sponsel of Greenup, IL
John was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Judy Ward.
