John C. Wilkin, 79, of Olney, passed away at 3:15 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Premier Healthcare in New Harmony.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday, December 31, 2022 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney.

John was born January 17, 1943 in Wayne County, the son of Glenn and Mary E. (Yohe) Wilkin. He later married Janice K. Rastovaki on March 14, 1964. She survives.

He was a truck driver for many years. His most favorite hobbies included visiting Hovey's Diner in Olney, hunting, farming, and working on cars. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Janice; 2 sons Randy Wilkin (Lisa) of Evansville and Greg Wilkin of Ina; 3 brothers Frankie Wilkin (Perlavon) of West Salem, Bill Wilkin of Mt. Erie and Jack Wilkin (Janet) of Pennsylvania; 4 sisters Glenda Wilkin of Albion, Linda Newby (Jay) of Flora, Joann Young (Mike) of Mt. Erie, and Mary Kay Smerdon of West Salem; several grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, Sebastian.

John was preceded in death by his parents, sister Susie Dye, and brother Bobby Wilkin.
