Juanita A. Penrod, age 81, of Noble, passed away at 6:49 PM on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Deaconess Main Hospital in Evansville.

Visitation will be from 2-3 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 3 PM in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Pastor Larry Clonch will be officiating.

Juanita was born on March 13, 1936 in Noble, the daughter of John and Agnes (Worrell) Foll. She later married Ellis Penrod on April 17, 1975. He preceded her in death.

She was a secretary in the healthcare business for many years. She enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel and loved to feed and watch birds. She also enjoyed camping and the outdoors. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Juanita is survived by her 2 sons Kenneth Scranton (Carol) of Bolingbrook, IL and B. Kevin Scranton (Diane) of Downers Grove, IL; step-son Kevin Penrod of TN; step-daughter Tamara Hoyt of FL; brother Robert Foll (Kathie) of Avon Park, FL; sister Luella Ehrhardt of Olney; 8 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Agnes (Worrell) Foll; Husband Ellis Penrod; son Dennis Scranton; 3 brothers Gerald Foll, Donald Foll, and Leroy Foll; sister Virginia Carlson; great-grandson Kash Barnfield and step-grandson Scott Hoyt.

Memorials can be sent to the Noble Seventh-day Adventist Church in memory of Juanita Penrod.
