Obituary
Julius Joseph Reis, age 92
of West Liberty, Illinois passed away at 7:40 PM – Friday, August 21, 2015 at Burgin Manor in Olney, Illinois.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM – Thursday, August 27, 2015 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois with Fr. Al Kemme celebrating mass. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Ste. Marie, Illinois with full military rites by the Ste. Marie American Legion Post #932. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the mass in church. In loving memory of Julius, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church or Ste. Marie American Legion Post #932.

Julius Joseph Reis was born on May 8, 1923 in West Liberty, Illinois the son of Anthony and Rose (Ochs) Reis. Julius married Gladys Geier on January 22, 1947 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, Illinois and she preceded him in death on September 22, 2011.
Julius served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was a lifelong farmer.
Julius was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois, Ste. Marie American Legion Post #932 and Knights of Columbus #1704 of Newton, Illinois.
Julius is survived by his children - Randy (Mary Sue) Reis of West Liberty, Illinois
Greg (Lisa) Reis of Springfield, Illinois and Sharon (David) Ade of Moline, Illinois
9 Grandchildren 6 Great Grandchildren
Julius was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Cheryl Reis, sister Marcella Schmidt and brothers Louis Reis, Art Reis, Gene Reis and James Reis.
