June RA (Pool) Cox, 88 of Olney, passed away at 10:26 AM on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Helia Healthcare in Olney.

Celebration of Life Service will be at 4 PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Elm Street Christian Church in Olney. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Pastor Jason Burckhartt will be officiating.

June was born on April 2, 1933 in Fullam, England, the daughter of Montague and Rosalie (Young) Pool. She later married Jesse Cox on June 1, 1978 in Brighton, MI. He survives.

She worked at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Olney for many years. She was a member of Elm Street Christian Church in Olney. She was also a member of the Olney American Legion Auxiliary, the Olney VFW Auxiliary and a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital donator. She enjoyed going shopping, traveling and her and her husband spent 27 years vacationing in Florida.

June is survived by her husband Jesse Cox of Olney; 2 sons Jeffrey Cox (Rhonda) of Clay City and Michael Cox of Noble; daughter Melissa Gates (James) of Olney; nieces Julie Gallagher and Tracey West and great-niece Nancy West; 11 grandchildren Mitchell Gray, Mindy Cox, Adam Cox, Frankie Cox, Ethan (June) Cox, Jotham Cox, Annara Cox, Jesse Payne, Josh Payne, Tonya (Steven) Ellison and Ian Gates; and several great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Montague and Rosalie Pool, brother Alex Pool and 2 sisters Audrey Bunce and Joyce Moore.

Memorials can be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of June RA (Pool) Cox.
