Kenneth Edward "Ken" Kocher, 64, of Houston Texas, formerly of Ste Marie, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at his residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, September 24, 2021, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois, with Fr. Dean Probst, celebrating mass. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Ste. Marie, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM - Friday, August 24, 2021, at the church. Arrangements are in the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com .
Ken was born on December 1, 1956, in Olney, Illinois, the son of I.D. and Florence (Cunningham) Kocher of Ste, Marie Illinois. Ken graduated from Newton Community High School and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
Ken enjoyed keeping up with hometown news by following it in the Newton Press and on the internet. Ken was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and watched every game. He enjoyed playing cards and visiting with family and friends.
Ken is survived by his daughter Tiffanny (Chris) Sievers of Marion Illinois. Grandchildren, Daily, Savannah and Maria Sievers; Sisters, Connie (Mike) Meyer of Tuscola, Illinois, Margie (Jerry) Jackson of San Antonio, Texas. and brother, Greg (Kathy) Kocher of Panama City Beach, Florida; Nieces, Lauren (Eric) Douglas of Tuscola, Illinois Sandra (David) McCormick of San Antonio, Texas; Nephews, Clayton (Maddy) Meyer of Wheaton, Illinois, Daniel (Francesca) Jackson of San Antonio, Texas and great nephews Broderick Meyer and Rhett Douglas, Cooper McCormick and RaeLynn Mcormick.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents.
