Kenneth E. "Kenny� Thomas, age 75 of Claremont, IL., passed away at 7:35 am, on Thursday, January 17th, 2013 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013 at 1 P.M. at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney. Reverend Rick Hanna will be the officiating minister.

Kenny was born on May 31st, 1937 in Richland County, Illinois, son of Harry and Lily (Lomas) Thomas. He later married Helen Snyder in Olney on June 26th, 1956. She survives.

Kenny was self-employed as a pipe line welder for the Pipe Trades Local #157. He was  an avid hunter and fisherman who passed on his skill and knowledge of the outdoors to his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Helen of Claremont; two sons, Steven Thomas, and his wife Shawn of Vincennes, Indiana; Randy Thomas, and his wife Julia of Claremont; three daughters, Mitzi Moyes, and her companion Wayne of Olney; Kathy Clark, and her husband Randy of Connecticut; Lisa Read, and her husband Dennis of Maryland; two sisters, Genevieve Brown, and her husband Robert of Olney; Pauline Kerr, and her husband Kenny of Olney; 11 grandchildren, Jeremy Moyes, Brett Moyes, Jaime Malenchik, Shawna Thomas, Jennifer Fox, Danny Prosser, Heather Dedman, Jenna Clark, Dustin Thomas, Brandi Graves, and Samantha Thomas; 11 great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Jacob, Logan, Tucker, Brighton, Caleb, Hayden, Mackenzie, Thomas, Mack, and Braxtin.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents Harry and Lily Thomas.
