Kenneth Faye Travers, 85 of Olney, passed away at 10:35 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Lavender Ridge in Olney.

Graveside service will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney. Pastor Bryan White will be officiating.

He was born to Lessel and Ruth Richey Travers on December 8, 1935 in Richland County. On November 20, 1964 he married Leota Watkins of Noble at the Olney Nazarene Church.

Kenneth attended East Richland High School and graduated in 1954. At the age of 16, he had started working at The Olney Advocate as a printer and in 1962 he began employment with AMF/Roadmaster where he managed the Printing Department and also did photographic work for them until his retirement in 2000. From 1957 until 1963, he also served with the U.S. Army Reserve.

Kenneth enjoyed league bowling where he was on various teams over many years. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidsons, watching television, and eating a good, big bowl of ice cream.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Leota of Olney; daughter, Deborah Thurston and husband Mark of Bloomington, Illinois; and son, Kevin Travers of Newburgh, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Donna Travers and Marilyn Bennett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Nazarene Church in Olney or Donor's Choice in memory of Kenneth Faye Travers.
