Kenny (Kenneth) R. Rule, son of Paul Rule and Bessie Hughes, born December 2, 1950 passed away at home on November 23, 2014 after a very hard fought battle with cancer. He married Hope Kasten on October 12, 2002 at their home in Noble.
Kenny is survived by his two children; son Tony Rule and wife Rebecca, and daughter Kelly Tracy and husband Brent. He has three sisters; Connie Wright and husband Steve, Sharon Driskell and husband Mike, and Karen Leist and husband Jerry. He was also a devoted and loving grandfather. He had six grandkids Kyle, Megan, and Cory Rule, and Ashley, Derick, and Tyler Tracy. In addition, he was also a great grandfather to Mallory and Wyatt Rule and to Hunter Fagin.
Kenny was preceded by both his mother, father and his great grandson Noah Tracy.
He worked for 15 years at Skyline Steel in Newton as a Heavy Equipment Operator and a Welder. He also worked for years in the oil field, farming, truck driving, and with the scales company. In addition to his job he loved to work with wood. He was always building things from shelves to toy boxes for the great grandkids to bed frames. You could always trust he would be in the shed working on a new project, be out in the garden with the vegetables, out fishing, or telling tall tales. The outdoors was just a place that he loved to be. Another thing you could count on was that every Sunday he would be at church at Wynoose Liberty Christian Church. He was a devoted man and will be missed severely.
His visitation will be held on Wednesday November 26 at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home from 10am to 2pm. The funeral will begin at 2pm that afternoon.
