Kevin Ray Beavers, age 68, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 11:36 AM – Tuesday, September 30, 2025 .
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon) on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. A service celebrating Kevin's life will follow with Rick Britton officiating. In loving memory of Kevin, memorials may be made to the Jasper County Cancer Support Fund, PO Box 333, Newton, Illinois 62448. The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com.
Kevin was born on August 22, 1957, in Olney, Illinois, the son of Leonard A. and Norma Mae (Ginder) Beavers. He married Jane Eeten on April 12, 1985, in Western Springs, Illinois, and she survives.
Kevin graduated from Newton Community High School with the Class of 1975. He worked at Willow Hill Grain for 23 years and currently worked at Evapco Midwest in Greenup, where he worked as a mill operator for last 7 years.
Kevin was a member of Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 20. He enjoyed hunting for Indian artifacts and was a fan of NASCAR. Time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, is what he treasured.
Kevin is survived by:
Wife – Jane Beavers of Newton, Illinois
Mother – Norma Beavers of Newton, Illinois
Sons – Clayton (Jazzolin) Beavers, Jacob (Chelsey) Beavers and Nicholas (Jodi) Beavers all of Newton, Illinois
Grandchildren – Zoey Hunt, Isaiah Trinkle, Jaxson Trinkle, Brayden Beavers and Lucas Beavers
Siblings – Ken (Janice) Beavers of Claremont, Illinois; Keitha VanBlaricum of Olney, Illinois; and Kent (Nancy) Beavers of Newton, Illinois
Brother-in-law – John (Nancy) Eeten of Highland, Illinois
Numerous nieces, nephews and special friends also survive
Grand Pups – Layla Bell, Ali Jo and Kelce Rue
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, mother and father-in-law John and Mary Eeten and sister-in-law Kim Blades.
