Larry Wayne Rogers, age 69

July 29, 1949 – July 10, 2019

Larry Wayne Rogers, age 69, of Farmington, Missouri and former resident of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 5:18 AM - Monday, July 29, 2019, in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Celebrating of Life will be held at 10:00 AM – Saturday, August 17, 2019, at the Farmington Community Building in Farmington, Missouri.  Burial with full military rites will be in the Mina La Motte Cemetery in Mina La Motte, Missouri.  Arrangements are under the care of Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.

Larry was born on July 29, 1949, in Ironton, Missouri, the son of Lindell and Virginia Maxine Rogers.

Larry served his country in the Vietnam.

Larry enjoyed fishing and was an avid baseball fan.  His final days were spent with his mother and sister Jenny. They actually watched the All-star baseball game the night before he passed.

Larry is survived by his mother Virginia Maxine Rogers of Farmington Missouri; two children Michael Rogers of Newton Illinois and Gretta (Joseph) Moore of Newton Illinois; three sisters, Carol & Morris Dinges of Shenandoah Iowa, Virginia "Jenny" (Mickey) Dixon Covington Tennessee and Mary (Mark) Burtch of Newton Illinois; one brother, Richard (Donna) Rogers of Pleasantview Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jason Burke, Cody Burke, Corey Berry, and Michelle Rogers and six great grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his father Lindell, wife Patricia Krass Rogers, sisters Linda and Beverly.
