LaVaughn (Shearer) Crum, 93, of Olney passed away at 8:55 AM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

No services are being planned at this time. Cremation rites will be accorded.

LaVaughn was born on October 15, 1928 in Noble the daughter of Benjamin and Dessie (Everette) Shearer. She later married Donald Crum. He preceded her in death.

She was a housewife for many years and also worked as a clerk for a variety of shops in downtown Olney. She enjoyed gardening, doing house work, sewing, and quilting. She was an artist at heart and enjoyed painting.

LaVaughn is survived by her son Dale Crum and wife Suzanne of Claremont; daughter Cynthia Mehl and husband Steven of Olney; 4 grandchildren Julie, Dale Jr. Leslie, and Lindsey; and 7 great-grandchildren Jacob, Isaac, Isla, Elliott, Brehanna, Bentley, and Rylan; 2 great-great-grandchildren Zane and Zeke .

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Crum, parents Benjamin and Dessie Shearer, and 8 siblings.
