Lawrence Jefferson, age 77

February 5, 1944 – July 6, 2021

Lawrence Jefferson, age 77, of Springfield, Illinois, passed away at 4:28 PM – Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM – Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Elliottstown, Illinois.  In loving memory of Lawrence, memorials may be made to the Meyer Funeral Home 307 West Jourdan Street Newton, Illinois 62448.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois.

Lawrence was born on February 5, 1944, in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Roddie and Wilhelmina (Dixon) Jefferson.  He married Annette Fae Michael on June 5, 1984, and she survives.

Lawrence retired from the State of Illinois, as a computer program analyst.

Lawrence is survived by:

Wife of 37 years – Annette Jefferson of Springfield, Illinois

Sons – Lawrence Jefferson of Idaho and Matthew Jefferson of Springfield, Illinois

6 Grandchildren and Several Great Grandchildren

Sister – Constance Gold of Tennessee

Niece – Jade Gold

Several cousins also survive

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents.
