Lawrence Russell Schmidt, age 67
Of Dieterich, IL passed away at 1:43 PM – Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM – Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Blake-Wright Funeral Home in Dieterich, IL with Curtis Graves officiating. Burial will be in the Sumner Cemetery in Sumner, IL. Visitation will be held 2 hours before the service at the funeral home. The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.blakefh.com.
Mr. Schmidt was born on October 16, 1945 in Effingham, IL the son of Charles and Marion (Kuhn) Schmidt. He served his country during in the United States Army.
Mr. Schmidt worked for Webb's Body Shop in Effingham for many years. He was a member of the Effingham Church of Christ. He was a collector of many.
Mr. Schmidt is survived by:
Wife – Jerri L. May of Dieterich, IL
Mother – Marion (William) Dust of Effingham, IL
Brother – Kent Lee (Jane Cornell) Schmidt of Dieterich, IL
Mr. Schmidt was preceded in death by his father.
