OBIT INFORMATION. LEE R. GREENWOOD
Lee R. Greenwood, of Olney, passed away at 4:35 AM, on Wednesday, January 9th, 2012 at Cisne Rehab and Healthcare Facility in Cisne.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 12th, 2013 from 8 - 10 AM, in the Chapel of Stasi-Grove Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM immediately following the visitation period. The Reverend Jeff Bent will be the officiating minister and burial will be Haven Hill Memorial Gardens with full military rites at the graveside.

Lee was born on June 13th, 1931 in Richland County, Illinois, the son of Lee Greenwood and Lydia (Rodgers) Greenwood. He later married Josephine Wehrens in Aachen, Germany. She preceded him in death in 2012.

He was employed by the Olney street department, a Korean War Veteran, and a member of the Olney American Legion Post 30. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Lee is survived by sons, Robert Lee Greenwood of Casper, Wyoming, Danny Dale Greenwood of Olney, IL., daughter in law Gina Martin-Hill of Cisne, brothers Robert Greenwood of Atmore, Alabama, Truman Greenwood, and his wife Shirley of Olney, Otis Greenwood, and his wife Ollie of Noble, IL., sister in laws Anne Mai Moitoza, and her husband Mannie of Middletown, Rhode Island, Ada Greenwood of Casper, Wyoming, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Lydia Greenwood, his wife Josephine Greenwood, son Barney Greenwood, brother Walter Greenwood, sister Mildred Greenwood,  2 nephews, and 1 niece.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Olney American Legion Post 30.
