Lloyd Irvin Eibling, age 69
of Newton, Illinois passed away at 5:14 PM – Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, Illinois.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM – Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Hunt Cemetery in rural Yale, Illinois with military rites. In loving memory of Lloyd, memorials may be made to the Meyer Funeral Home 307 West Jourdan Street Newton, Illinois 62448. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.
Lloyd was born on February 14, 1946 in Denver, Colorado the son of Donald and Maxine (Crabbe) Eibling. He married Jane Stella Curtin on October 28, 2006 and she preceded her in death on May 10, 2014.
Lloyd served his country in the United States Navy from December 28, 1965 until January 14, 1969 and served on the USS Oriskany.
Lloyd was a member of the Cummins Church in rural Yale, Illinois and the Jasper Post #20 American Legion.
Lloyd is survived by:
Sister – Sylvia Leonard of Greenup, Illinois
Brother – Don (Wanda) Eibling of High Point, North Carolina
Several nieces and nephews
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters June Newkirk and Betty Hines.
