Lloyd G. Sherman age 83 of Olney, passed away at 2:15 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Celebration of Life service will be set for a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Odessa, Texas.

Lloyd was born on March 9, 1933 in El Reno, Oklahoma, the son of Melvin and Vernon (Daniel) Sherman. He later married Mayme Bayne on June 30, 1957 in Odessa, Texas. She preceded him in death on October 24, 2012.

He was a Korean War Army Veteran and worked as an Electronic Technician for many years. He attended Calvary Baptist Church. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Lloyd is survived by his son Ragain Darell Sherman; brother, Alfred Sherman; 2 sisters, Dorothy Wooden and Katherine Johnson; and 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mayme Sherman, parents Melvin and Vernon Sherman, 2 sons, Melvin Fred Sherman and L.G. Sherman, Jr., and 2 brothers Melvin A. Sherman and Darell Sherman.
