Lois L. Burton, age 92, of Effingham, Illinois, formerly of Montrose, Illinois, passed away at 10:50 PM – Sunday, September 6, 2020, at Willowbrook Memory Care in Effingham, Illinois.
Funeral services celebrating Lois's life will be held at 11:30 AM – Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Mullen Baptist Church in rural Montrose, Illinois, with Chris Yocum. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Mullen Cemetery in Montrose, Illinois.

Lois was born on February 7, 1928, in Neoga, Illinois the daughter of James and Ella E. (Hatten) Cooper. She married Henry Burton, Sr. on December 31, 1947, in Toledo, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1999. Lois was a member of the Mullen Baptist Church in Montrose, Illinois. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, garage sale and traveling. Lois's greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother and a homemaker.

2 Siblings - Lowell (Alice) Cooper of Philo, Illinois and Elsie Phillips of Effingham, Illinois
19 Grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, several siblings, 2 son-in-law Morris Bickers and Clyde Hood, granddaughter Jessica Davis and great-grandsons Thurl James Burton and Owen Davis.
