Lois "Jean" Travers, age 90

November 17, 1933 – March 10, 2024

Lois "Jean" Travers, 90, of Olney, Illinois, passed away at her home, on March 10, 2024.

Jean was born on November 17, 1933, in Petrolia in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence and Cleo (Baldwin) Fornshcell.
She married Robert Earl Travers on August 25, 1954, and he preceded her in death on November 1, 2009.

A memorial service will be held at the Free Methodist Church in Olney, Illinois on March 19, 2023 at 6:00 PM.

Jean was member of the Free Methodist Church in Olney, Illinois, She had worked at the shoe factory for a period of time and at the telephone company but her main job was to be a homemaker and caretaker of her husband and three sons.  She enjoyed spending her time shopping for and selling antiques, playing cards, especially euchre, and other games including dominoes. Jean always looked forward to Church and especially her Sunday School class. She will be missed.

Jean is survived by her sons; Keith Travers of Olney, Illinois; Danny (Michelle) Travers of Calhoun, Illinois;  and Randy (Anne) Travers of Olney, Illinois
Cousins and dear friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert.
