Lora Ellen Fouty, age 89

Lora Ellen Fouty, age 89, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 6:56 PM – Monday, April 22, 2019, at Newton Care Center in Newton, Illinois.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM – Monday, April 29, 2019, at the Brick Cemetery northwest of Newton, Illinois, with Mike Knepper officiating.  In loving memory of Lora, memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com .

Lora was born on April 29, 1929, in Jasper County, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Cleda (Foltz) Stewart.  She married James Frederick Fouty on December 24, 1949, and he preceded her in death on August 8, 2013.

Lora was a homemaker and attended Central Christian Church in Newton, Illinois.

Lora is survived by:

Daughter – Linda (Rick) Seamon of Oblong, Illinois

Son-in-law – Don Mitchell of Kansas City, Missouri

9 Grandchildren   20 Great Grandchildren      6 Great Great Grandchildren

Sister – Georgia Knepper of Wheeler, Illinois

Brother – Richard (Pat) Stewart of Richmond, Indiana

Lora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Jean Mitchell, brother Charles "Sonny" Stewart and her brother-in-law LaVern Knepper.
