Lora Mae Hunter, age 75

Lora Mae Hunter, age 75, of Montrose, Illinois, passed away at 5:19 PM – Thursday, May 16, 2019, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM – Friday, May 24, 2019, at the Mount Juliet Memorial Gardens, 2250 North Mount Juliet Road, Mount Juliet, Tennessee 37122.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois.

Lora was born on February 09, 1944, in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Oscar and Edith (Willis) Tarpley.  She married Richard Hunter on December 31, 1970, in Rockford, Illinois, and he survives.

Lora worked as a nurse for many years.  She was a member of Centenary Methodist Church in Effingham, Illinois.  She enjoyed crocheting and painting.

Husband of 48 years – Richard Hunter

Daughter – Lisa (James) Long of Nashville, Tennessee

Grandchildren – Molly Long and Kaylee Long

Brothers – Curtis Tarpley of Ft Worth, Texas and Fred Tarpley of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin

Sister – Lois Wojciechowski of National City, California

Lora was preceded in death by her parents.
