Lorianne Kimmel, age 42, of Salem, passed away at 11:54 PM on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at SSM-Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11 AM on Friday, May 26, 2017 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Wagner Cemetery in Chauncey. Pastor Chris Jennette will be officiating.

Lorianne was born on October 28, 1974, in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of Hal and Dorothy (Weston) Hicks Byers. She later married Edward Kimmel on October 28, 2005.

She worked at Clay Co. Rehab for many years. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Lorianne is survived by her 4 brothers; Brian (Stephanie) Hicks of MD, Hoyt Hicks of FL, Harley Hicks of FL and Hunter Hicks of FL; 3 sisters Shelly (Tony) Mills of FL, Terri (Romeo) Ujcic of FL, and Renae Funke of Honolulu, HI; nephews and nieces Dominic and Mario Ujcic, Bronson Miles, Maverick Mills, Hali Miles, Riley Miles, Teagon Mills, Madison Mills, Brianna Hicks, Brayden Hicks, and Brody Hicks; several aunts, uncles, and cousins residing in Illinois, Florida, and Wyoming.

She is preceded in death by her parents Hal and Dorothy (Weston) Hicks Byers; nephew Marcus Mills; and sister Valerie Hicks.
