Marcia Lee Brown, age 65

Marcia Lee Brown, age 65, of Yale, Illinois, passed away at 9:10 AM – Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Casey Heath Care Center in Casey, Illinois.

Funeral services celebrating Marcia's life will be held at 10:30 AM – Monday, September 24, 2018, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with John Blaylock officiating.   Burial will be in the Yale Cemetery in Yale, Illinois.  Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 PM – Sunday, September 23, 2018, at the funeral home.  In loving memory of Marcia, memorials may be made to the family c/o Meyer Funeral Home 307 West Jourdan Street Newton, Illinois 62448.   The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com .

Marcia was born on December 24, 1952, in Watervliet, Michigan, the daughter of Junior Lee Heffington and Stella (O'Keefe) Heffington.  She married Edward Brown on June 1, 1969, in Hartford, Michigan.

Marcia was a Certified Nurses Assistant for several years.  She was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church near Hidalgo, Illinois, and the Sisters of Faith.

Marcia was a member of the Pokagon Band Potwatomi Indian Tribe in Michigan.

Marcia taught Sunday school for several years and enjoyed doing stamping up.

Mother – Stella Heffington of Bangor, Michigan
3 Children – Ed (Melissa) Brown, Angel (Michael) Woodard and Eric Brown all of Yale, Illinois
Brothers – Daniel Heffington, Ronnie Heffington and Timmy Heffington all of Bangor, Michigan
Sisters – Patti Hacker of Webster, Florida; Cindy Black of Muncie, Indiana; Sherri Carroll and Karen Spicher both of Bangor, Michigan
14 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren

Marcia was preceded in death by her father and a sister Susie Heffington.
