Margaret Ann Wilson Shamhart, 75
Of Robinson, IL and formerly of Newton, IL passed away at 4:04 AM - Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM – Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Joe Griffith officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Newton, IL. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM – Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the funeral home.
Margaret was born on May 7, 1937 in Lawrenceburg, TN the daughter of Urcil and Lattie Amadel (Porter) Weems. She married Merle E. Wilson on April 17, 1954 and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1996. She later married Harvey Shamhart on July 14, 2002 and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2006.
Margaret was retired from E.R. Moore Company in Newton, IL where she worked for over 25 years. She was a member of the Bible Chapel Church in Oblong, IL and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #4549. She enjoyed playing BINGO and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by:
3 Children - Rick (Rick McSchooler) Wilson of Robinson, IL
Rodney (Debbie) Wilson of Oblong, IL
Rhonda (Bill) Ping of Yale, IL
8 Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson due in December.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Merle Wilson and Harvey Shamhart and 2 sisters.
