Marian Kay (Schmidt) Dust, age 91, of Effingham, Illinois, passed away at 11:39 AM - Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham, Illinois.

Funeral services celebrating Marian's life will be held at 10:00 AM – Saturday, October 21, 2017, at the Church of Christ 1311 South 4 ^th Street Effingham, Illinois 62401, with Curtis Graves officiating.  Burial will be in the Arborcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in rural Effingham, Illinois.  Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM – Friday, October 20, 2017, at the church.  In loving memory of Marian, memorials may be made to the Church of Christ.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois.

Marian was born on April 25, 1926, in Greenup, Illinois, the daughter of Cephas and Gladys (Decker) Kuhn.  She married Charles Schmidt and he preceded her in death on October 10, 1990.  She later married William E. "Bill" Dust and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2015.

Marian worked at Norge in Effingham for many years.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Effingham, Illinois, and she enjoyed bowling.

Son – Kent (Jane) Schmidt of Dieterich, Illinois
Granddaughter – Kayla (Paul) Goodwin of Arcola, Illinois Sister - Ruth Ann (David) Myers of Effingham, Illinois
Step Children – Bruce Dust and Barbara (Doug) Starwalt
Step Grandchildren – Lynn Beilfuss, Christina Link and Michael Dust

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, step father Ira Niccum, husbands, son Larry Schmidt, sisters Mary Lou Richards and Margie Grubb and step granddaughter Leann Hardiek.
