Marlene F. (Westendorf) Ochs, age 60

of Newton, Illinois passed away at 3:20 PM - Thursday, September 17, 2015 at her home.
Per Marlene's wishes there will be no visitation, family and friends are asked to to attend the Funeral Mass celebrating Marlene's life.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM – Monday, September 21, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois with Fr. Al Kemme celebrating mass. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. In loving memory of Marlene, memorials may be made to St. Thomas School 306 West Jourdan Street Newton, Illinois 62448. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com.
Marlene was born on April 11, 1955 in Effingham, Illinois the daughter of Vincent and Catherine (Vogt) Westendorf. She married Donald J. Ochs on April 19, 1980 at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham, Illinois and he survives.
Marlene was a hairdresser at Denise's Corner Salon in Newton for many years. She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and helped her husband farm.
Marlene was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois. She enjoyed flowers, reading, golf cart rides and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Marlene is survived by: Husband of 35 years – Don Ochs of Newton, Illinois Parents – Vincent and Catherine Westendorf of Effingham, Illinois Children – Karen (Jeremy) Pitcher of Jewett, Illinois; Annette (Chad) Kistner of Newton, Illinois; Dennis (Raley) Ochs of Newton, Illinois; Donna (Jud) Cochran of Wheeler, Illinois; Tricia Ochs (special friend Justin Ohnesorge) of Newton, Illinois and Megan Ochs (fiancé Jake Pilman) of Newton, Illinois. Grandchildren – Joslynn, Kassie, Jerrick and Karlee Pitcher; Natalie, Nora, Dylan and Collin Kistner; Drayden and Kinsley Ochs and Jase Cochran. Siblings – Barb (Terry) Key of Montrose, Illinois; Bob (Jan) Westendorf of Dieterich, Illinois; Jerry (Diane) Westendorf of Effingham and David (Paula) Westendorf of Teutopolis, Illinois
