Martha Ann Tracy, age 90

November 4, 1932 – June 2, 2023

Martha Ann Tracy, age 90, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 1:21 PM – Friday, June 2, 2023, at Helia Healthcare in Newton.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Martha and her sister Norma Trainor, will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) – Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois.  Visitation will be held 2 hours before the service.  In loving memory of Martha, memorials may be made to the Jasper County Cancer Support Fund, PO Box 333, Newton, Illinois 62448.  The obituary can be viewed, and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com.

Martha was born on November 4, 1932, in Robinson, Illinois, the daughter of Theodore and Alice (Jones) Meeker.  She married Richard Lee "Dick" Tracy on March 7, 1949, in Terre Haute, Indiana, and he preceded in death on October 4, 2014.

Martha worked at E.R. Moore Cap and Gown in Newton for over 25 years.  She was a member of the Eastern Star #497 in Newton.

Martha enjoyed dancing, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Children – Michaelene "Mickey" Cerwins of Arlington, Texas; Diana (Ed) Barthelme of Aiken, South Carolina; Kathy Eslami of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Kevin (Connie) Tracy of Newton, Illinois; and Lori (Bob) Payton of Wichita Falls, Texas

Grandchildren – Scott Barthelme, Cara (Chris) Rohlfs, Alison (Craig) Clark, Rahmin (April) Eslami, Alisha Christenberry, Ryan (Chrissy) Tracy, and Cole (Rose) Payton.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons-in-law Bob Cerwins and Perry Eslami, siblings Marilyn Simmons, Ginny Schutte, Harry Meeker and Edward Meeker and her sister Norma Trainor passed away 8 hours after she did.
