Mary Ellen Carlen, age 87

of Louisville, IL passed away at 10:34 PM - Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Burgin Manor in Olney, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM – Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup, IL with Dan Haifley officiating. Burial will be in the Jack Oak Cemetery in Greenup, IL.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.

Mary Ellen was born on January 9, 1926 in Hammond, IL the daughter of Don and Virgie (Eveland) Easton.
She married Lee W. Carlen on February 7, 1942 in Toledo, IL and he survives.
Mary worked at the Ettelbrick Shoe Factory in Greenup, IL and Robinson, IL for many years.
Her greatest joy was her family.

Husband of 71 years- Lee W. Carlen of Olney, IL
Children- Dennis (Sheila) Carlen of Dundas, IL
Donna Guyer of Neoga, IL and
David (Earlene) Carlen of Decatur, IL
Brothers – Dean Easton of Walnutport, Pennsylvania
Clifford Easton of Claremont, IL
Sister- Eleanor Lear of Neoga, IL
7 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren also survive

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Dale Easton.
