Mary Ann Dasenbrock, age 85
Of Newton, IL passed away at 2:21 PM –Saturday, February 23, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM – Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, IL with Fr. Al Kemme celebrating mass. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Effingham, IL. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM – Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the church. In loving memory of Mary, memorials may be made to Lincolnland Hospice or St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL.
Mary was born July 27, 1927 in Effingham, IL daughter of Pauline E. (Stockman) and Henry G. Engbring. She married Robert F. Dasenbrock on May 17, 1949 in Effingham, IL and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1987.
Mary worked at Jasper Clothiers for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton. She enjoyed spending time with family and living life to the fullest.
Mary is survived by:
4 Children David (Stephanie) Dasenbrock of Olney, IL; Michael (Cathy) Dasenbrock of Newton, IL; Sue(Bruce) Diel of Newton, IL and Tim (Vickie) Dasenbrock of Effingham, IL and a sister Jan Engbring of Effingham, IL
8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband and sisters Joan Engbring and Ruth Green.
