Mary Ann Girhard, 78
of Newton, IL, passed away at 1:30 PM – Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Odd Fellows-Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM – Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Riverside Cemetery in Newton, IL. Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL. The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.blakefh.com.Mary Ann was born on January 15, 1934 in Louisville, KY the daughter of Abner and Mabel (East) Seeley. She married Paul Girhard in December 1957 and he preceded her in death on February 23, 1984.
Mary Ann worked at People's State Bank in Newton for 20 years and at Heartland Human Services for 10 years.
Mary Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newton. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, shopping and spending time with her family.

2 Children – Cindy Bridges of Cape Coral, FL
Ed (Julie) Girhard of Newton, IL
Grandchildren – Kelly (Joe) Bialeschki; Sarah (Jay) Hughes and Amy (Allen) Emmerich
Great Grandchildren – Chloe, Bella and Logan Bialeschki
Cameron Hughes and Breanna Emmerich
Sister – Norma Lee Robards of Newton, ILMary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her son-in-law John Bridges.
