Mary Elizabeth Hoecherl, age 99, of Ste. Marie, Illinois, passed away at 5:15 PM - Monday, November 26, 2018, at the St. Joseph's Home in Springfield, Illinois.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM – Thursday, November 29, 2018, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois, with Fr. Dean Probst celebrating mass.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Ste. Marie, Illinois.  Visitation will be 1 hour before the mass.  Arrangements are under care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com .

Mary was born on December 9, 1918, in Willow Hill Township, Jasper County, Illinois, the daughter of Paul and Ruth (Harmond) Hoecherl.  She was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois.

Mary is survived:

Nieces – Teresa Hoecherl of West Union, Illinois and Mary Hoecherl of Willow Hill, Illinois

Great Nephew – Josh Bobbitt – Willow Hill, Illinois

Mary was preceded in death in death by her parents, her sisters Helen Hebenstreit and her twin Mildred Hoecherl and brother Fred (Doris) Hoecherl.
