Mary M. Marshall, age 82
Mary M. Marshall, age 82, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 7:30 AM - Thursday, December 14, 2017, at her home.
Funeral services celebrating Mary's life will be held at 10:30 AM – Monday, December 18, 2017, at Scott Avenue Christian Church in Newton, Illinois, with Kevin Colclasure officiating. Burial will be in the Trexler Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM – Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the church. In loving memory of Mary, memorials may be made to the Jasper County Cancer Fund P.O. Box 333 Newton, Illinois 62448. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Mary was born on August 12, 1935, in Jasper County, Illinois, the daughter of Neil and Esther (Clagg) Johnson. She married Floyd L. Marshall on November 3, 1956, at the Latona Church of Christ.
Mary worked for Jasper Unit No. 1 School system as a school bus chaperon. She was a faithful member of the Scott Avenue Christian Church in Newton.
Mary enjoyed researching her genealogy and spending time with her family.

Husband of 61 years – Floyd Marshall of Newton, Illinois
Children – Brenda (Dick) Horner of Vandalia, Illinois and Brian (Susan) Marshall of Dundas, Illinois
Children – Sarah (Brad) Horner of Dundas, Illinois; Amy (Travis) Tarr of Newton, Illinois; Cassi (Chad) Williams of Dundas, Illinois; Willam Johnson of Olney, Illinois.
Great Grandchildren – Maddox Horner, Maverick Horner, Cole Horner, Marshall Tarr, Meyer Tarr, Marlee Tarr, Breanna Williams, Gauge Williams and Maci Williams.
Brother – Burl (Mary) Johnson of Newton, Illinois
Sisters – Norma Clark of Newton, Illinois and Geraldine (Scotty) Clark of Newton, Illinois
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gene, Donald and Dean Johnson and a sister Beverly Sparks.
