Mary Edith Weber, age 86

August 24, 1933 – February 15, 2020

Mary Edith Weber, age 86, of rural Dundas, Illinois, passed away at 4:40 PM – Saturday, February 15, 2020, in Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM - Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, Illinois, with Fr. Mark Stec celebrating mass.  Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Wendelin, Illinois.  Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the church and ½ hour before the mass.  In loving memory of Mary, memorials may be made to the Holy Cross Building Fund or St. Louis Children's Hospital.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com .

Mary was born on August 24, 1933, in the Boos community of Jasper County, Illinois, the daughter of Jerome and Mary (Litzelman) Maginn.  She married Ivan D. Weber on July 16, 1955, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Sainte Marie, Illinois.  Ivan preceded her in death on May 30, 2013.

Mary worked for George Kasserman Attorney at Law and Dale Wilson Attorney at Law, and later working for the Jasper County Credit Bureau.  She also worked alongside Ivan, on the family farm.

Mary was strong in her faith; she was a fierce prayer warrior and a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church.  She was a member of Smallwood Home Extension.  She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by:

Children - Gary (Jamie) Weber of Santa Fe, Tennessee; Kathy (John) Hayes of Newton, Illinois; Cheryl (Harold Dean) Gambill of Mattoon, Illinois and Gail (Ben) Niebrugge of Newton, Illinois

Brothers - Silvin (Addie Jo) Maginn and M. Joseph (Mary Lu) Maginn both of Indianapolis, Indiana

Sisters - Evelyn (Martin) Parisot of Bettendorf, Iowa; Ruth Fear of Decatur, Illinois and Rose Wetzel of Indianapolis, Indiana

Grandchildren - Michael (Lauren) Weber, Brandon (Tara) McKinney, Amanda (Brett) Lessley, Courtney (Brad) Page, Ross (Jill) Hayes, Amanda Emmerich, Allen (Amy) Emmerich, Jill (Tyler) Emmerich Ginder, Lynn (Doug) Bierman, Megan (Nick) Henkel, Katie (Devin) Deisher and Eric Niebrugge

Great Grandchildren – Ryan, Kyle, Madison, Bentley, Lydia, Nora, Landry, Alayna, Henry, Will, Ben, Gus, Ava, Breanna, Myla, Mallory, Morgan, Makenzie, Aaden, Adalyn, Mason, Owen, Aubrey and a baby due in April

Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law - Ralph (Georgianna "Toots") Weber of Wakefield, Illinois

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Don and Harry Maginn, sister Anita Busald and infant sister Marilyn Maginn.
