Obituary

Mashell Marie Burson (Rowley), age 48, of Casey, Illinois, went to her heavenly home 1:00 AM - Tuesday, May 19, 2020, due to kidney failure.  At the time of her passing, she was at her mother's home in Caldwell, Idaho surrounded by her family.

Private family services will be held.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home – Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com .

Mashell was born in Caldwell, Idaho on May 16, 1972. She grew up in Middleton, Idaho and moved to Missoula, Montana where she met Randy Burson while working at the Albertson's grocery store. Randy worked in the Meat Department and Mashell worked in the Bakery. They were married on June 10 th , 2006 and a year later moved to Casey, Illinois.

Mashell is survived by: Mother Peggy Anne Benson, Father Mark Duane Rowley Sr.(Sharon), Brother Mark Rowley Jr.(Tracy), Half-Brothers Nathan Rowley and Rick Easley(Donna), as well as five grand-children, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mashell was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Burson on January 18, 2020, paternal-grandparents Eva and Duane Rowley, maternal-grandmother Dorthy VanNatta(Willard), maternal-grandfather Charles Fleetwood, Step-Father George Benson as well as several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Mashell will always be remembered for her excellent pineapple upside-down cake, pecan pumpkin rolls, her love for bears, and her talent for celebrating every holiday to the fullest. She was a wonderful friend, neighbor, Daughter, Auntie, and Nana.
