Of Greenup, IL passed away at 10:50 AM – Monday, July 11, 2011 at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM – Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Kaskaskia Cemetery rural Brownstown, IL with Kent "PeeWee" Denton officiating.  Visitation will be held 5:00 - 7:00 PM – Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup, IL.

Maxine was born April 19, 1928 in Fayette County, Illinois to James & Myrtle (Eagleton) Childress.  She retired from The Greenup National Bank.

Survivors include special friend Doyle Webb of Jewett, IL and several nieces and nephews which include a niece and nephew – Ron Rogers of Oblong, IL and Jan Matheny of Annapolis, IL.

Preceding her in death were her parents, sisters Edna Jackson, Olive Rogers, Ruby Barker, Veda Sidwell, brothers Morris, Lanell (Buck), Orville (Sy), & Ira.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
